I would like to open this report by passing on to Dan Czarny and his family, our deepest condolences on the sudden loss of Sunny. We as a community will miss her beautiful presence around our gatherings, as she exuded grace and cheerfulness whenever we came together. Our thoughts go out to you Dan.

We also lost Lisa Gregory recently and our sincere thoughts go out to her husband Michael and their children. Lisa was a very passionate Porsche person who followed the traits of her father John and mother Jean very closely.

The AGM was held on the Friday night of the Parade weekend and was well attended again this year, slightly down on last year's numbers. The meeting was quickly dealt with so we could enjoy the evening in our usual relaxed manner, suffice to say that the committee was reelected unopposed. I would hope to see some new faces put themselves in contention next year, as it would be great to gather some new ideas and enthusiasm. Please think about it if you wouldn’t mind.

Porsche's 60th Years in Australia birthday celebrations, which involved our Annual Parade weekend, was a fabulous success all-round. The weather proved a little unkind and dampened the Saturday morning run whilst the Gala event on Saturday night certainly made up for this. We were treated to some wonderful food and wine amongst an unusual but elaborate setting, scattered with a finely dressed crowd of enthusiasts from all different types of models, with a few precious real models in before us.

The new 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera was driven into the facility and took centre stage for all to admire and dream about. This was and is the first right hand drive vehicle shown anywhere in the world so was really a delight and privilege to have the opportunity to view it.

Sunday morning was looking a little overcast early but eventually changed into a beautiful day, allowing the gathering at Rochford Winery to enjoy the splendour of the cars being show, of which there were some two hundred and forty five, including eighty six of our finest 356's. Once again wonderful food and beverages amongst some equally delightful people and gorgeous surroundings highlighted the day. Our thanks must go to our major sponsor Porsche Cars Australia, especially Michael Winkler, CEO, Kevin Nicholls, Director Sales & Marketing and the PR Manager, Pamela Ward who makes all these wonderful things happen. Thanks also go to our other major sponsors, BP Castrol Australia, Pierre Niclas, and Bendigo Bank, Rod Styles, whom without their support, we would not be able to continue to offer such great events for you, our members.

Diane and I were very fortunate to have just been given the opportunity to attend the President's meeting in Cape Town South Africa. After spending two days touring around with Will and Barbara Darvall and Pamela Ward, we joined into the Porsche event. The experience was incredible to say the least, from the detail applied to each part of the daily programs, to the extraordinary delivery of those programs. The feature of the event was the unveiling of the new 911 Carrera. This occurred by being driven out of an aeroplane hanger, whilst being seated in a grandstand, only to have three jet aircraft buzz over our heads followed by a dozen or so new Porsches performing extremely well choreographed routines right in front of us. The following day found us driving the vehicles around the scenic ocean roads to the Cape of Good Hope and then up into the hills and wine country, followed the next day by visiting the Killarney Race Track and driving these beasts like there was no tomorrow. I was very fortunate indeed to be paired up with Mr. Bob Garretson who happens to be the 1981 World Champion Endurance Champion. He certainly hasn’t lost the ability to drive fast and after scaring the pants off me, proceeded to show me a few of the finer points to make this happen. The whole experience was wonderful and Diane and I are extremely grateful for being able to attend.
